Send money abroad in a few taps with our app
- Register for your free profile
- To send money internationally, simply log in to your profile on the app or online. If you don’t have a profile, register now for free. There are then many ways to send money abroad with Unitylink
- Gather your details
- Whenever you want to send money abroad online, you’ll need the amount you’d like to send, where to send it, the delivery option and payment method.
- Have your receiver’s details ready
- Based on the channel used to send money, you can either enter your loved one’s banking details – or provide their name as it appears on their ID, address and phone number, to send funds.
- If you choose the option of sending money to a mobile wallet, you may also need the name of their mobile wallet provider as well as the mobile wallet number.
- Pay
- Unitylink is a cashless business, start a transfer using the app or online, then pay online.
- You can choose whether to pay with your credit or debit card. Once confirmed, review the details and send money abroad.
Identity verification
Verify your ID following our seamless identification process and increase send limits on your future transfers. ID verification is an important industry standard that we follow to allow you to freely and reliably transfer with Unitylink.
Accepted IDs include current, signed passports, UK driving licenses, EU national ID card and UK biometric residence permit (BRP).
You must also know the receiver’s full name as it appears on their ID/Account to send your money internationally.
After verification, your send limit will increase.
Please note that for regulatory reasons as well as requests to provide ID you may be required to provide additional information on the source of funds, purpose of your transaction and relationship to your beneficiary, regardless of the amount or destination country. The only way to proceed with the transaction will be to provide the requested information.
Sending money
- How do I send money?
- You can send money to your loved ones for cash pickup, directly to your receiver’s bank account, or to your receiver’s mobile phone. After you’ve chosen your destination country, you’ll see the types of services available
- How do I pay?
- You can pay using your debit or credit card. Supported cards are Visa and MasterCard.
- Please contact your bank to ensure your card is enrolled for secure authentication.
- How do I send money to a bank account?
- This service is available for certain countries. Usually, money is deposited into the receiver’s bank account in 1 or 2 business days. Money may be deposited the same day or in as many as 3 business days, depending on when and where it’s sent.
- After you send money, ask your receiver to contact their bank or check their bank statement to verify the deposit.
- How do I send money to a mobile phone?
- If your receiver lives in a country where we offer this service, you can send money to their mobile phone—so they can get their money even more quickly and easily. Make sure your receiver has activated a mobile wallet with one of our partner mobile operators in their country.
Receiving money
- Receive money from overseas to your bank account
- Your loved ones can send money directly to your bank account in covered locations. Check if you’ve received the money transfer using Unitylink app or online at www.unitylink.com
- Receive cash
- Pick up your money at any pickup locations. You’ll just need a few transfer details and a valid ID.
- Mobile wallet
- In many countries, you can receive money from abroad directly to your mobile wallet.
- UK senders should tell their loved ones to ensure their mobile wallet is activated, ask them to check the wallet limit and to provide their phone number for any delivery updates.
